Questions Concerning:

The New World Translation

1. What are the names of the men who were part of the Translation Committee of the New World Translation? What are their credentials (degrees in biblical languages) that would qualify them to produce a Bible translation?

2. Anyone can write to the the New American Standard Bible Translation Committee or the New International Version Bible Translation Committee and get the names of the translators of their versions. Why do the translators of the New World Translation not give out their names? If humility were the reason then why did the writers of the New Testament attach their names to their letters? Were they not humble?

3. If Jesus is "a god" according to John 1:1 in the New World Translation (NWT) does this mean that there are two Gods, an Almighty God and a mighty god? Since there is only one true God, what kind of "god" is Jesus - Is he a true or a false god?

4. The New World Translation states in John 1:3 that "not one thing" was made apart from Jesus. Does this not contradict the Watchtower's teaching that Jesus was himself created?

5. Why has the Watchtower added the word "other" four times to Colossians 1:16, 17 in their New World Translation? Before the Watchtower's insertion into Paul's statement, are not Paul and John in agreement that Jesus is outside the realm of created things or beings? Does not the Watchtower's addition of "other" make Paul's statement in Colossians 1:17, 17 conflict with John 1:3?

6. Does the english translation under the Greek at Revelation 5:10 in the Watchtower's Kingdom Interlinear Translation say that those who will "sing a new song" will rule "over" the earth, or does it say they will rule "upon" the earth? If it says they will rule "upon" the earth, why does the Watchtower say that these people reign "over" the earth? (See the front inside cover of the Kingdom Interlinear Translation where the Greek prepositions show that upon means "on" as on top of the circle and "over" means over top of.)
